Want to use synthetic data and have a chance to win $75,000? is providing our platform so that anyone can compete in the NSIN — National Security Innovation Network (NSIN)’s SynGen Challenge — FOR FREE!

Synthetic images generated using the PaaS, NSIN workspace, for physics-synthetic data generation for AI training and validation. is providing our PaaS so anyone can compete in the National Security Innovation Network (NSIN)’s SynGen Challenge — FOR FREE!

NSIN, in partnership with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), and Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), are running a prize challenge to identify research and solutions to support a critical need for the generation of synthetic training data for computer vision (CV) algorithms.

Here at, we’ve decided to make our platform for generating synthetic data to train CV algorithms broadly available. Contestants will now be able to participate in this challenge without experience in 3D modeling or simulation by generating imagery easily in our web experience. The work to make this possible was done in collaboration with our partner, Orbital Insight, funded by an NGA grant. Stay tuned for more information in support of this contract!

Get set up quickly with a complete workspace, example graphs, datasets, and analysis using the content code ‘NSINDATA’. Check out our support documentation for a step-by-step tutorial on how to use a content code.

NSIN workspace created within the PaaS for physics-based synthetic data generation using content code ‘NSINDATA’.
