The Rendered.ai team is excited to showcase how synthetic data enriches geospatial intelligence at USGIF’s GEOINT 2024 Symposium in Orlando this May. Symposium attendees can see firsthand how the Rendered.ai platform can enhance the value of any computer vision project. Live booth demonstrations will showcase the diverse capabilities of Rendered.ai PaaS, including:

  • Generating synthetic data in the cloud with NVIDIA Omniverse
  • Building physically accurate remote sensing data with RIT’s DIRSIG
  • New efficiencies with a preview of integrated model training and synthetic data generation

Synthetic Data for GEOINT Professionals

This year’s GEOINT Symposium is focused on the many facets of geospatial intelligence and its ability to provide a decision advantage in today’s ever-changing technological and geopolitical environments. Industry experts, government officials, and thought leaders will come to this event to be at the forefront of new advancements in the GEOINT space. Rendered.ai is ready to share exactly how synthetic data plays a vital role in the further innovation of geospatial intelligence.

Enhancing Computer Vision Projects

Many GEOINT professionals are tasked with creating complex simulation models for a host of different mission-critical scenarios, sometimes so rare or sensitive that the reliable datasets required to train those simulations are not accessible or do not yet exist. Synthetic data eliminates that challenge by providing the unlimited information needed to train computer vision AI for effective simulation.

Synthetic data for simulated SAR, RGB, multispectral and hyperspectral.

Synthetic data offers many benefits for computer vision projects:

  • Increased Efficiency: Generate vast amounts of diverse data rapidly, eliminating the need for time-consuming and expensive data collection in real-world environments.
  • Precise Control Over Datasets: Tailor synthetic data to specific scenarios and edge cases, ensuring your models are trained on comprehensive and relevant data.
  • Reduced Cost: Cloud-based data generation is significantly less expensive and faster to obtain than collecting real sensor data, especially for rare and edge cases.

Rendered.ai Powering Innovation

The Rendered.ai PaaS is leading the way in synthetic data generation and establishing partnerships that bring about further innovation in AI and ML training.

The company has partnered with the Rochester Institute of Technology’s DIRS Laboratory to provide access to the physically accurate simulator, DIRSIG, in the cloud. Rendered.ai also has a commercial license from NVIDIA to provide access to NVIDIA Omniverse for hosted synthetic data generation. We are an Esri partner, enabling us to provide access to base maps and imagery services for synthetic scene creation. Rendered.ai also recently became an In-Q-Tel (IQT) portfolio company after a strategic investment, which aligns with the company’s efforts to deliver technology for the remote sensing and government markets.

These partnerships and continued advancements to the Rendered.ai platform power the workflows needed to extract real value from artificial intelligence and machine learning systems.
