You may have noticed a few new updates to the Rendered.ai platform recently. If you haven’t logged onto the platform to generate synthetic data in a while, it’s a great time to take a fresh look!

The Rendered.ai Platform as a Service provides an easier, faster, and less expensive way to:
- Create and configure synthetic data generation streams
- Support iterative testing and validation for training artificial intelligence machine learning systems
- Enable computer vision teams to share 3D assets, scenes, and datasets in one place
The recent updates to the platform improve the user experience and help new users get started faster. These updates also expose more status information on main pages and improve users’ ability to find their content on the platform. Here are the changes to look for.
Platform Interface Updates
When you access the Rendered.ai platform, you’ll notice a more stylistic interface. If you prefer to work in Dark Mode, that functionality has been added. To activate Dark Mode, click on the user icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, select “Profile,” and turn the “Dark mode” toggle to “On.”
Your organization’s landing page now includes a job queue that shows a quick list of the jobs currently active and queued across all your workspaces.
New Getting Started Resources
If you are new to the Rendered.ai platform or would like a refresher course on its capabilities, our team has added new resources on the homepage to help.
This new tutorial video from the experts at Rendered.ai provides a quick guide to generating synthetic data for computer vision right away.
The Getting Started page also gives you direct access to try our most popular workspace, the “Satellite RGB Demo,” and test other workspaces for different types of synthetic data generation in our sample gallery.
The Getting Started page will pop up the next time you log onto the platform. You can access these resources any time after that by clicking on the question mark icon in the upper right corner of the screen and selecting “Intro to Rendered.ai”.
Updates for Improved Navigation
The Rendered.ai team continually improves the platform to make synthetic data generation as easy and fast as possible for your computer vision team. Recent changes have been made to help users access the tools they need more quickly, including relocating:
- Volumes to the “Assets” tab
- Analytics & UMAP functionality to the new “Experiments” tab
