This year’s Air, Space & Cyber Conference, hosted by the Air & Space Forces Association (AFA), drew over 18,000 senior leaders from across the United States Department of Air Force and the aerospace industry to the Washington, D.C. area for 40+ professional development sessions in defense and intelligence over three days.

As an AFA member, Rendered.ai hosted an exhibit booth alongside other emerging technology providers at the conference, all focused around this year’s theme: “Achieving Decisive Advantage in an Age of Growing Threats.

The Hot Topic for Defense & Intelligence at Air, Space & Cyber 2024

The Rendered.ai team had many thought-provoking discussions with industry leaders visiting our booth, with one topic rising above the rest – how to effectively use artificial intelligence to modernize the air and space domains. Keynote addresses and panel sessions throughout the conference, including “Failure is Not an Option: Confronting the Modernization Challenge” and “The AI Passport,” highlighted an urgent need to productively integrate AI into defense and intelligence systems to reach mission-critical decisions faster.

After listening to a host of sessions focused on the benefits of artificial intelligence, many airmen at Air, Space & Cyber then visited the exhibit halls specifically looking for AI experts to learn from. This allowed the Rendered.ai team to demonstrate to attendees the importance of quick access to customized synthetic data to fuel computer vision algorithms for threat detection, remote sensing, and other use cases.

Accelerating Defense & Intelligence AI Development with Rendered.ai

Visitors to Rendered.ai’s booth at the Air, Space & Cyber Conference learned not only how critical AI is to maintaining power in the air and space domains but also the necessity of using trusted, customized datasets to develop reliable and performant AI systems. Rendered.ai’s experts in physics-based synthetic data generation for computer vision demonstrated live how defense and intelligence professionals can use our Solutions and Platform offerings to:

  • Generate customized synthetic data and develop computer vision algorithms that support missions in a fraction of the time.
  • Configure reusable and traceable synthetic data generation workflows in a collaborative space to quickly train AI systems for new battlefield scenarios and edge cases.
  • Modernize the training tools analysts and personnel use to help identify important enemy activities.
  • Integrate simulated data efficiently into AI pipelines and ISR systems for faster access to actionable intelligence.

Attendees were thrilled to discover Rendered.ai’s solution to speeding up the development of trusted vision-based artificial intelligence systems with thoughtfully engineered datasets and repeatable data generation workflows. Our team left the conference excited about how Rendered.ai’s platform and expertise will help expedite innovation in the defense and intelligence sector in the future. Look for Rendered.ai again at AFA’s Air, Space & Cyber Conference in 2025!
